Realme's MagDart charging technology has been unveiled. The new magnetic wireless chargers are faster and thinner than those from Apple, and they are the first of their kind for Android.
Realme unveiled a number of products during the online event. Realme Flash, 50W MagDart Charger, 15W MagDart Charger, MagDart Power Bank, MagDart Wallet, MagDart Beauty Light, and MagDart Case for Realme GT are the devices in question.
Realme Flash
The Realme Flash is a concept Android phone that showcases the company's MagDart wireless charging technology. It's also the first Android phone to offer magnetic wireless charging.
The phone sports a punch hole in the top left corner and a dual-curved display. Under the AG Matte finish back cover, there are three cameras, a dual-cell 4500mAh battery, and a Snapdragon 888 processor.
The phone contains 0.3mm thick Boron and Cobalt magnets with a magnetism loss of 0.01 percent after two years and a 5N magnetic force that allows it to grip items weighing up to 500 grammes. Realme hasn't said whether the device would be sold commercially.
Charger MagDart 50W
The MagDart Charger 50W is the quickest magnetic wireless charger in the world. A 0.2mm thin extra-large low impedance copper coil in the charger allows it to generate less heat while charging. Regardless, the charger is equipped with a small active air conditioning fan. Magnets on the charger are 1.5mm thick.
The charger can charge the Realme Flash from empty to 20% in 5 minutes, and a full charge takes 54 minutes, which is nearly the same time as the wired 50W SuperDart Charger.
The 50W MagDart Charger, according to Realme, is also the greatest solution for gaming because the charger can be spun so that the wire does not get in the way when playing. The charger can also be used to charge devices that use Qi wireless charging.
MagDart 15W Charger
The 15W MagDart Charger is designed for individuals who prefer a smaller charger. It is not only thinner but also faster than Apple's MagSafe. It is thinner than four credit cards stacked together and 26.4 percent thinner than the MagSafe charger, measuring 3.9mm in thickness.
Realme claims that by employing a separate coil and board design, it was able to manufacture the charger this thin. Realme preferred to attach the board to the charging connector rather than the charging coil. This design decision also helps to prevent overheating.
The 15W MagDart Charger will recharge a 4500mAh battery in 90 minutes, however the Apple MagSafe charger will take hours to recharge a battery capacity of less than 3000mAh.
MagDart Power Bank
Realme understands that you won't always be near a wall outlet, but that doesn't mean you can't benefit from magnetic wireless charging. With the MagDart Power Bank, you can still enjoy magnetic wireless charging while on the road. Realme's version of the MagSafe Battery Pack, but it's a lot cooler.
The power bank fits onto the rear of the phone and immediately begins charging. It has the same 15W power output as the 15W MagDart Charger.
The MagDart Power Bank also comes with a charging base/dock that converts it into a vertical magnetic wireless charger. When the power bank is placed on the base, it begins to charge. When you're in this state, you can also put your phone on the power bank.
The MagDart Power Bank has an aluminium frame and is coated with vegan leather in terms of style.
MagDart Wallet
A magnetic accessory that attaches to the back of a phone is the MagDart Wallet. Users will be able to keep three cards in the wallet, which is made of vegan leather. The phone may also be propped up vertically with the help of a metal kickstand.
Beauty Light by MagDart
The MagDart Beauty Light is a magnetic ring (really square) light attachment with support for magnetic wireless charging that magnetically attaches to the back of a phone.
When snapping selfies or making a vlog, the 60-LED light may be turned up to act as a light source. The light may be turned on and off, as well as the brightness and colour temperature, using a button.
For realme GT, MagDart Case
The MagDart Case gives the Realme GT the benefits of MagDart. The case attaches to the realme GT's USB-C connector and enables magnetic wireless charging on the phone.
The case is finished in black carbon to match the realme GT's aesthetic.
The prices of these accessories have yet to be revealed by Realme. It did, however, state that it intends to give up the MagDart standard to the public so that individuals can create accessories for it and contribute to its popularity.
