The long-awaited Windows 11 was introduced by Microsoft on Thursday (June 24). In recent weeks, the new generation of computer operating system has been the subject of a slew of speculations and leaks. For a few days, the OS build was even accessible for download until the business took down the pages.
SUPPORT FOR ANDROID APPS AND A NEW UI
Windows 11 has a more simple and modern appearance. The new programme is certainly inspired by the Windows 10X initiative, as we mentioned in another article. One of the most noticeable differences is that the Start menu is now centred on the desktop, as opposed to earlier versions, when it was positioned to the left by default. Of course, you can put it on the left-hand section.
Widgets, a new tab for monitoring news and weather forecasts, is one of the cosmetic updates. Additionally, the windows now have more rounded borders, and Live Titles is now available as an optional feature. Another significant change is the addition of its Teams video conferencing service to the taskbar. Skype is included in Windows 11 right out of the box. The Xbox software for Windows was also included into the system, in addition to Teams.
The Microsoft Store has been completely redesigned and now looks much better. Users can also download and instal Android apps directly from the store. As a result, Google OS apps will operate natively on Windows 11. Users will reportedly be able to download programmes through the Amazon Store. However, if it can run Android apps, we expect it will only be a matter of time before someone figures out how to get a common APK to work with it.
Windows 11 also improves Windows' general sound and design experiences, making everything seem and feel more fluid when in use. There are new snapping layouts to pick from in Windows Snap Assist, as well as a new menu that shows when hovering over app windows to select where you want an app to be snapped to. Control over window positioning is accessed by pressing the right mouse button on the maximise option. You can use it to determine the optimum way to divide the screen area.
WHEN WILL WINDOWS 11 BE RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC?
Later this year, Microsoft will begin rolling out a free update for eligible Windows 10 PCs, which will last until 2022. The full version of Windows 11 is expected to be released this fall, according to Microsoft. However, starting next week, Windows Insiders will be allowed to run a test build.
